Congressman Sean Duffy recreated a popular viral video, featuring some familiar faces. The 7th District's representative started the video by saying, “I'm on my way to a town hall, but first, let me take a selfie.”
"I'm jumping on a trend to try to engage my younger constituents. They need to know that a lot of what's happening now will impact their futures. If taking a 'selfie' with the Chair of the SEC, Steny Hoyer, or Alzheimer's research advocates, gets their attention, then it's worth it. Plus, it's fun."
A 'selfie' is a photo taken of yourself with the intention to upload it onto a social media site. 'Selfies' can also include other people.
In Duffy's video, there are selfies of the congressman with Governor Scott Walker, Congressman Paul Ryan, Speaker John Boehner, a “bi-partisan selfie” with Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer and even a photo with students from D.C. Everest High School. There are also a few snapshots with members of Duffy's family.
