Police seize $10,000 worth of meth in Wausau

WAUSAU (WAOW) – About $10,000 worth of methamphetamine was seized following a search of a Wausau home where three young children lived, Marathon County Sheriff Scott Parks said Tuesday.

Three people, including a husband and wife, were arrested in Monday's raid of suspected methamphetamine trafficking at the home in the 600 block of South First Avenue, Parks said in a statement.

Investigators found 90 grams of crystal methamphetamine bagged for individual resale, he said.

Following the arrest of the 43-year-old husband, his 42-year-old wife and a 27-year-old man, three children at the home, ages 14, 12 and four, were placed into temporary custody of social workers, the sheriff said.
