Rhinelander teachers raise money at McDonald's

RHINELANDER (WAOW) -- Rhinelander teachers served up Big Macs for a cause Wednesday afternoon.

Crescent Elementary School had its second McTeacher fundraiser at the McDonald's.

For three hours, a part of all sales went toward the school's Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports program.

Teachers got behind the counter, worked the drive-thru and cleaned up tables to support the program.

"[We] reward students for following rules at school and displaying the positive behavior that we're looking for, focusing on the positive in order to reduce potentially negative behavior," said Kelly Huseby, Crescent Elementary's principal.

She says they raised more than $700.
