Marshfield sausage company sold

MARSHFIELD (WAOW) – The company that manufactures Wenzel's Farm Sausage announced Monday that it has been sold to a holding company that will continue to operate the business with the current management team.

Harry C. Wenzel & Sons Inc., founded in 1949, was sold to Castleray, which has major offices in Chicago and Dallas. No sales price was disclosed.

Castleray's web site said it was governed by a board of directors that provide direction to its companies and advice to their management teams.

Its leadership provides “lean manufacturing and service excellence to deliver superior cash flow,” the website says. Profits go to research and development, internal growth, acquisitions and dividends to “yield superior equity results.”

Mark Vieth will continue as president of the new company called Wenzel's Farm LLC, the company said.

Wenzel's Farm makes dozens of products for customers nationwide.

One of the other companies that Castleray owns is Milestones, which makes personalized craft kits and components, according to Castleray's web site.
