MADISON (WAOW) - Three schools in central Wisconsin are receiving grants to help students learn about money management, according to the office of Governor Scott Walker.

Monday, the governor's office said the state was awarding 26 financial literacy grants totaling nearly $350,000 for schools across the state. Schools in central Wisconsin getting the grants include Adams Friendship Area Schools, which is getting $10,000, Cooperative Education Service Agency #9 in Tomahawk, getting $30,000, and Port Edwards School District, receiving $10,000.

Governor Walker says the grants will help teach students money management skills they need for adulthood.

The Department of Public Instruction reviewed 92 applicants from across the state and the Governor's Council on Financial Literacy made the final recommendations.
