Run for Hospice raises thousands of dollars in Weston
WESTON (WAOW) -- Hundreds of people helped raise money for hospice care Saturday at the Run for Hospice 5K and 10K.
This was the race's ninth year.
Before the run started, hundreds of balloons were released as "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd played on speakers.
Several families wore matching T-shirts to honor someone they've lost who was helped by hospice care.
"It means so much to our family to work with hospice because they've done so much for us through the end of life stages with my grandmother so to come out and support this just means the world to us," said Sarah Fink of Green Bay.
