Paraguay's president palace bugged -- by termites

Posted:
Officials have discovered bugs in the Paraguayan president's palace, though they're eating rather than listening.
The Public Works Ministry said Monday that the west wing of the palace is infested with termites, but the main wooden structure is not endangered for now.
The head of maintenance at the palace is Gustavo Glavinich. He tells reporters that the government will call for bids on restoring termite-hit wing, which houses some offices and gala rooms.
The Lopez Palace is the seat of Paraguay's government and home and office to President Horacio Cartes. The neoclassic building dates back to 1857.
