WOOD COUNTY (WAOW) – The two men convicted in a Marshfield woman's heroin overdose death will be sentenced today.

Trenton Blume, 25, and Justin Drinka, 23, pleaded no contest to first-degree reckless homicide back in March.

Prosecutors previously told Newsline 9 they will ask the judge to sentence Drinka to four years in prison and six years on extended supervision. They say they will also ask the judge to sentence Blume to five years in prison and 15 years on extended supervision.

In August 2012, Marshfield Police say Drinka and Blume supplied Kayla Vanderwyst, 20, with the heroin that caused her death. She was found dead inside a Marshfield home.

Drinka and Vanderwyst did heroin together the night before her death and Blume drove them to pick it up, according to prosecutors.

Newsline 9 will update this story once the sentences are handed down.
