Classic car show takes over downtown Tomahawk

TOMAHAWK (WAOW) -- Tomahawk was the place for vintage and classic car fanatics Sunday.

It was the 20th year the Main Street Memories Show was in downtown Tomahawk.

Organizers say the cars came from all over the state and even as far as Florida.

They estimate at least a thousand people were there to stroll through and enjoy the more than 300 automobiles.

"There's a real love for the American classic beauty and people appreciate the camaraderie," said show organizer Christine Vorpagel. "It also helps that it's a beautiful weekend, Memorial weekend in historic downtown Tomahawk."

There was some competition involved in the show too. Prizes were given out in more than 50 categories.
