The Marshfield Dairy Fest is almost here

Posted:
Marshfield (WAOW)-We are just a few days away from one of the biggest events in Marshfield.
The city plans to welcome more than 20,000 people this weekend and its all for Dairy Fest.
For 33 years, Marshfield has worked together to put on this community wide event.
With more than 20 activities, there is something for everyone.
This year there is something new; a parade for children.
"It's just, fun for all, there is so many things going on the carnival has already started setting up at the Marshfield Mall, that starts Thursday night until Sunday evening. There is an activity and fun for everybody," said Debbie Bauer, program director for the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
The annual Mayor's Breakfast is Friday.
About 300 volunteers are needed to make it happen.
One man who donates his time comes back each year because he enjoys interacting with the community.
"It's our way of being the public service to the people and the community and we love what we are doing, we have a heck of a good time, " said Neil Riedel, volunteer.
Riedel has been making eggs for the breakfast for 28 years and he says he doesn't plan on stopping anytime soon.
He has perfected making eggs for large groups over the years and even has a secret ingredient he doesn't share with anyone.
So, with preparations underway, the town is looking forward to a busy weekend.
