Indigenous groups demonstrate in Brazil's capital

Posted:
Police say more than 300 indigenous people of different ethnic groups are rallying again in front of Brazil's Justice Ministry to protest against legislation that would reduce the size of some Indian reservations.
Sgt. Daniel Barroso is a spokesman for the Brasilia police department. He says the demonstration is peaceful and that many of the protesters are wearing face paint and headdresses, and carrying bows and arrows.
He said the protesters are demanding to meet with Justice Minister Eduardo Cardozo to discuss the reservation-reduction legislation.
It is the second demonstration by indigenous people this week in Brazil's capital.
The same groups clashed with police during a similar protest on Tuesday, and one officer was shot in the leg with an arrow.
