Frontier Fest draws thousands to downtown Wausau

WAUSAU ( WAOW) - About 3,000 people packed Wausau's 400 block for Frontier Fest.

It featured four bands. The event benefits two organizations, the Marathon County Humane Society and the Neighbor's Place.

People were asked to bring donations to benefit both organizations. Peyton's Promise collected the donations.

Many people set up their chairs at the 400 block hours in advance, hoping to get a good seat for all the action.

"Friends, and fun, and music, and the weather of course, but it's a good time to get together with friends, we look forward to it a lot even if it's just a once a week thing it's a way to keep together all Summer long," said Wausau resident, David Berna.

The event was hosted by Frontier Communications and Wausau Area Events.
