WISCONSIN RAPIDS (WAOW) - A bear was spotted strolling a Wisconsin Rapids Street Tuesday, according to the police department.

The bear was seen in the 1400 Block of 24th Avenue. Police say officers positioned their cars between the bear and the nearby neighborhood to help guide the bear back to a wooded area. Officers say they have been receiving many calls about bear sightings so far this summer.

Officials say if you spot a bear, leave it alone and called law enforcement.
