'Tees for Kids' raises money for Children's Miracle Network

SCHOFIELD (WAOW) - Golfers hit the green all to help children of north central Wisconsin.

The third annual 'Tees for Kids' teed off at the Wausau County Club Monday. Teams took to the course to play 18 holes of golf. There was also an auction for 14 gifts. Organizers say the best part of the

event is that all the proceeds benefit the Children's Miracle Network.

"100% of the money stays right here in north central Wisconsin to benefit local children and we do everything from a stuffed animal for a child going into surgery, all the way to life saving equipment," said Children's Miracle Director Patti Shafto-Carlson. "We benefit children of all ages 0 to 18 and we don't focus on any particular disease or injuries, so we focus on the health of all children."

Newsline 9 is a proud sponsor of CMN. Newsline 9's Nate Barrett and Cami Mountain took part in the event.
