Raise your glasses and toast to the veterans, Veteran Beer is now available in the Badger state.

Mid-Wisconsin Beverage in Wausau signed an exclusive deal to distribute Veteran Beer in Wisconsin.

The founder of Veteran Beer Company says he started the company to help put an end to veteran unemployment.

The company was launched in November 2013. The founder says everybody in the company is a veteran.

"And that was the idea behind the beer company was to create where everybody is a veteran the owners, everybody in the company from the guy putting on the tires to the person brewing the beer to the person going out in the street selling it," said Veteran Beer Company Founder Paul Jenkins.

"We're just thrilled that Veteran Beer has chosen Mid-Wisconsin Beverage to be the first distributor in Wisconsin to get their beer out and get it to the folks, so they can raise a glass to the veterans as well," said Mid-Wisconsin Beverage Craft Beer Sales Manager, Scott Campbell.

Veteran Beer has 5 full-time employees and 44 part-time employees.

Mid-Wisconsin Beverage officials say they will be launching the beer later this week.
