Rare sight in the sky

(ABC) -- Superstitious people might want to stay in bed Friday the 13th.

According to the US Naval Observatory, the full moon reached its peak at 12:12 a.m. ET.

The combination of a full moon and the much-feared day won't happen again until August 13, 2049.

The last time it happened was October 13, 2000.

Full moons in June go by a number of names.

Often called Rose Moon, Strawberry Moon or Honey Moon--the US Naval Observatory says the humid midsummer air can add a slight pink color to the moon
