UPDATE: Driver involved in fatal crash remains hospitalized

TOWN OF BERRY (WKOW) -- The name of the driver involved in a crash that killed 22-year-old Dylan Lindeman has now been released.

Sunday, Kurt Laufenberg (22), of Dane, was traveling southbound on Martinsville Road when he failed to negotiate a curve, striking a tree at High Rise Road.  Lindeman, of Middleton, was killed in the crash.

Laufenberg remains hospitalized with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.  The Dane County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate.  Alcohol and speed remain factors in the deadly accident.

TOWN OF BERRY (WKOW)--- The Dane County Medical Examiner says the man killed Saturday in the fatal rollover accident in the Town of Berry is Dylan Lindeman, 22 of Middleton.

An autopsy shows Lindeman died from the injuries in the crash.
The accident happened just before 1:00 a.m. Saturday. The Dane County Sheriff's Office says a Honda Accord was traveling southbound on Martinsville Road when it failed to negotiate a curve and a struck a tree at High Rise Road. Lindeman, the passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies say the driver was transported to a local hospital by Med Flight with serious injuries. They believe alcohol and speed were contributing factors in the crash, though it remains under investigation.
