Custer man charged in child sex investigation

NEILLSVILLE (WAOW) – A 48-year-old Custer man has been charged with using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime and numerous counts of possession of child pornography, according to online Clark County court records.

Randy P. Scott was arrested last month after he went to Thorpe expecting to meet an underage girl who he had exchanged messages with, Clark County Sheriff Gregory Herrick said. Instead, he was met by police.

He had indicated he wanted to have sex with the girl, get her pregnant and then take her back to his residence,” the sheriff said in a statement.

Scott is jailed on a $10,000 cash bond for each of two separate prosecutions involving the investigation and is to return to court July 17, court records said.
