MADISON (WKOW) -- The Dane County Executive's Office said the number of Madison Gas & Electric customers without power was down to 1,650, as of 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.

The office also notes Dane County Executive Joe Parisi and Dane County Emergency management Director Charles Tubbs met with a representative of the National Weather Service(NWS) in Sun Prairie Wednesday afternoon, and that after a review the NWS ruled the damage in Sun Prairie was likely cause by "microburst" severe thunderstorm winds that may have at times been higher than 80 miles per hour and not a tornado.

MADISON (WKOW) --- We Energies has about 900 without power in the Marshall area, according to their online outage map.

Alliant Energy is down to 600 customers without power, according to their outage map in our area.

*****

MADISON (WKOW) --- MGE says they have 2,500 customers without power in 50 separate outages.  That number is down from the 8,000 this morning.  They say they need to access the damages so their estimated time of restoration is not operating online while the figure out what kind of damages they have.

According to We Energies website there are 450 customers without power in Marshall.

MADISON (WKOW) -- The latest update from the Wisconsin Emergency Operations Center says there were 17,229 power outages in the area as of 10:00 a.m. Wednesday.

MG&E had 8,079 outages and Alliant Energy had 7,968. Excel Energy had 1,096 outages and We Energies had 86.

There were tornado warnings in Dane and Jefferson counties Wednesday morning, but a release from the Emergency Operations Center says no tornado touchdown has been reported.

No injuries have been reported from Wednesday's mornings storms, but storm damage reports include trees down in West Madison and Cottage Grove, as well as tree and house damage in the Village of Dane.

The Dane County Executive's Office says county officials are doing damage assessments in Cottage Grove and Sun Prairie today. The office says there are reports of at least five homes and some cars damaged by falling trees in Sun Prairie, with the neighborhoods east of Bird Street hardest hit.

The Storm Forecast Center continues to have most of Wisconsin at a “slight” risk for more severe weather Wednesday.
