Lac du Flambeau men guilty of possessing drugs

MADISON (WAOW) – Two northern Wisconsin men pleaded guilty Wednesday to possessing the drug oxycodone with intent to distribute, U.S. Attorney John Vaudreuil said.

Charlie Sunn Meshigaud, 25, and Andrew Meshigaud, 27, both of Lac du Flambeau, face a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison when sentenced Aug. 22, the prosecutor said.

According to Vaudreuil, from January to June 2013, the pair made numerous trips to Milwaukee to purchase 30 mg pills of oxycodone in buys totaling more than $50,000. The drug was later distributed in Lac du Flambeau.

Oxycodone is a narcotic commonly prescribed to treat moderate to severe pain.
