Marvel of efficiency on display with 200-mile-per-gallon car

CUSTER, Wis. (WAOW) -- Among the many exhibits at the Midwest Renewable Energy fair (, the one that had people talking was the clean car display.

An Illinois-based company showed off its futuristic car with the simple name "Seven."

It's an all-electric vehicle that has been tested at 207 miles per gallon.

But designers say don't expect to see the efficient car in dealerships just yet.

"We've got over 20,000 hours building this car," said Kevin Smith of Illuminati Motorworks. "It is one-off. However, we do have molds. We can make more and for $250,000 one can be yours."

The car was built for a competition to make a 100-mile-per-gallon vehicle. Illuminati Motorworks won second place.
