Teens in Wausau combine art with heat

WAUSAU (WAOW) -  Teens in Wausau added a little warmth to their art skills Tuesday night.

The event was called Art with Heat at the Marathon County Public Library. Teens experimented to create melted crayon art and ice candles. They also tried Flame Painter, which is a free computer program.

"The best part is actually getting to do some hands on fun artsy, craftsy, sciency stuff,” said Julie Kinney, the young adult librarian. “Some kids don't get to do that in the summer so we're happy to provide that opportunity for everybody."

The event was free.
