Archery wraps up Badger State Games

The Badger State Games wrapped up its final event this weekend in Marathon County.

Organizers say about 100 archers made their marks at the archery tournament this weekend.

They say that's about 25 more archers than last year.

Event leaders say the age of participants ranged from an eight to 70 years old.

"We have archers that come from all over the state and they like to come and shoot our course, so we're doing good," said Allen Russ, Rib Mountain Bowmen Chairman.

The Rib Mountain Bowmen hosted the event at their facility in the Town of Maine.

Organizers say they hope the exposure in the games will help archery continue to grow throughout the state.
