WESTON (WAOW) -- Everest Metro police say two adults were issued citations after a 13-year-old driver crashed into a house Saturday evening.

Everest Metro police were called to the crash in Weston around 6 p.m.

Officials say the girl was driving the car with three passengers when she ran into her own home.

Officials say one adult passenger was cited for open intox. The girl's step-father, who was also a passenger, was cited for permitting an unauthorized minor to drive, according to officials.

Authorities believe the girls stepfather may have been drinking and asked her to drive.

The girl's mother told Newsline 9 her daughter was getting a driving lesson and lost control of the car.

"There was another guy on the porch that was sitting in a chair when the vehicle hit the porch and they're assessing him right now for injuries," said Sgt. Terry Peterson of Everest Metro Police Department. "He does live here also."

The driver and one passenger were taken to a hospital, but authorities say no one was seriously injured.

The crash is still under investigation.
