The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters used a seven-run fifth inning to propel the team to a 14-5 win over the Kenosha Kingfish Saturday night at Witter Field. The victory ended a four game losing streak for the Rafters.

Wisconsin Rapids got big production at the plate from several players. Leading the way with four hits was Keelin Rasch, who also drove in a two runners and scored twice. Four Rafters had multi-hit games, and all but one player in the lineup recorded an RBI.

The Rafters will open a series with the Thunder Bay Border Cats Sunday evening at Witter Field. First pitch is slated for 5:05 p.m.

Trailing the La Crosse Loggers 6-0, the Wisconsin Woodchucks took a lead in the seventh inning by rallying for seven runs, but fell 10-7 in extra innings Saturday at Athletic Park.

With the game tied 7-7 in the tenth inning, Woodchucks pitcher Eric Garza struggled to find the strike zone and allowed three runs, giving La Crosse a 10-7 lead. The 'Chucks bats couldn't respond in the bottom of the tenth.

The Woodchucks will have a busy road trip to Kenosha the next two days. The Woodchucks will play a total of four games in two days against the Kingfish.
