NEILLSVILLE (WAOW) - The Clark County Sheriff's Department says the teenage driver killed in a Sunday morning crash was on his way to work.
The Clark County Sheriff's Department says the teen was killed when another driver failed to stop for a stop sign and plowed into his pickup truck.
Marvin W. High, 16, of rural Loyal died in the crash reported at about 5:15 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Twenty-Six Road and Meridian Avenue in the Township of Sherman, Sheriff Gregory Herrick said Monday.
Officials say High was heading to his job at a farm near his home when the crash happened.
The crash sent High's truck into a ditch, flipping it onto its side and into a power pole, the sheriff said in a statement.
A 21-year-old woman was driving southbound on Meridian Avenue when she failed to yield at a stop sign and struck the passenger side of High's truck, Herrick said.
The woman was taken to a Marshfield hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Herrick said.
