Man nicknamed "Castro" sentenced to prison

WAUSAU (WAOW) -- A 21-year-old Milwaukee man nicknamed "Castro" was sentenced to three years in prison Wednesday for his role in what police called a rash of Marathon County robberies in 2011.

In a plea deal, Abraham Robertson was convicted of felony attempted armed robbery. Another felony robbery charge was dismissed, according to online Marathon County court records said.

Robertson, nicknamed "Castro," was arrested about three years ago following some robberies, including one at Wendy's and one at Piggy's Pub.

One of the other suspects in those cases was nicknamed "Kung Fu Panda."

Marathon County Circuit Judge Greg Grau ordered Robertson to serve three years in prison and gave him credit for 393 days already spent in jail, online court records said. Robertson was also placed on five years of extended supervision once he is released from prison.
