LAMBEAU FIELD (WAOW) - The Packers pro shop at Lambeau Field has a new look. Fans lined up early Thursday to be the first inside and they're loving what they see.

"It's beautiful, they did an awesome job," said Donna Mulder of Sheboygan Falls.

The pro shop grand opening kicked off with a ribbon cutting, then fans flooded the store. Besides adding more merchandise, the shop has some new features.

"We've been able to bring to life some iconic elements that are scattered throughout the pro shop, and you'll see those as you walk around the large helmet when you walk in the door, the led hat wall," said Kate Hogan, the director of retail operations.

The store also takes fans back in time.

"We've made an effort to maintain the history and tradition of the Packers,” said Hogan. “So as you walk through the store, you'll see these incredible graphics from our history that add to the overall experience."

Packers fans say the new pro shop isn't only a great place to grab their favorite merchandise, but it also completes the experience at Lambeau Field.

"They paid tribute to the Packers in every way with all the memorabilia and everything, it's awesome,” said Mulder.

"You can tell the Packers organization really cares about us, it's a nice thing for us," said Austin John of Pittsville.

Directors say the fans were top of mind when designing the store. It's been quite a process getting to this point. The shop is part of a multi-million dollar project including renovations to Harlan Plaza and Curly's Pub.

"We want their experience when they come to Lambeau Field to be that much more special," said Hogan.

"It just shows how much the Packers are loved from everybody,” said Mulder. “I mean I became a Packers fan before I knew what a Packer was. It's instilled in you when you're from Wisconsin."

The pro shop will continue the celebration with activities and contests until Sunday. If you want to enter in one of the contests, click here.
