Marathon County Crime Stoppers: Copper theft

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for help to find the people responsible for stealing from a business in the Township of Cleveland near Stratford.

On Friday July 11, 2014 about 3:30 a.m., a vehicle with two occupants approached a business near Stratford and stole several hundred pounds of new sheets of copper. The sheets of copper varied in size from 12 inches wide to 4 feet wide and were 10 feet long. Officials say the suspect vehicle is believed to be a 1999-2008 Pontiac Grand Am. The loss is estimated at about $2500.
