WAUSAU (WAOW) -
The Wisconsin Valley Fair kicked off at Marathon Park Tuesday. Organizers say it's bringing in bigger crowds than ever before.
This is the 146 year of the fair. Rides, games, and food vendors line the park for people to enjoy.
"We plan all year round,” said Maria Budnik, the fair administrator. “It's always fair season here, so we start in September right away and when it ends we already look at next year and looking at entertainment and I mean even sponsorships and vendors. I mean that stuff starts right away in the fall."
Organizers say the fair brings in more than $500 million to the area. It continues through Sunday.
