Lincoln County Sheriff's officials say two people are injured after a motorcycle crash in Lincoln County.
Officials say at about 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, agencies responded to a motorcycle crash on Highway 17 near Gross Lane near Gleason.
Witnesses tell officers that two motorcycles were traveling together southbound on the highway when the motorcycle in front swerved to avoid hitting deer. They told officers, the driver of the second motorcycle did not respond fast enough and hit the first motorcycle. Officers say witnesses told them the impact ejected the two riders off the second motorcycle.
Officials say the 76-year-old male driver and 73-year-old female passenger, both of Marion, Indiana received minor injuries and were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. They say the riders of the other motorcycle were uninjured.
Russell Fire and First Responders and Merrill Fire Ambulance responded to the call.
