Packers fear OL Don Barclay may have torn ACL

The Packers may have seen their second player in six practices suffer season ending knee injuries as the Green Bay Press-Gazette is reporting that offensive lineman Don Barclay tore the ACL in his right knee on Tuesday.

Rookie receiver Jared Abbrederis saw his season come to an end last Wednesday after tearing the ACL in his right knee.

Barclay, the Packers sixth offensive lineman, went down in Tuesday's practice and was carted off the field. The Packers did not confirm the nature injury after practice. The third-year pro started 18 games at right tackle throughout his first two seasons in the league, but has the ability to play anywhere on the offensive line.

"He has a ton of value to this line," said left guard Josh Sitton. "Typically, you don't get a sixth guy that can play that many positions and has that much experience."

"They don't come any better than him," said head coach Mike McCarthy. "I mean he's exactly what you are looking for if you want someone to emulate a Green Bay Packers football player on and off the field, he's definitely one of your guys."
