Packers practice through the heat Wednesday

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WAOW) -- The Packers don't often have to worry about weather being too warm, but they may this weekend.

Green Bay travels to Tennessee Saturday to take on the Titans in their preseason opener, and on Wednesday the weather gave them a little preparation.

Temperatures in Green Bay reached the mid-80's Wednesday, the hottest day of training camp so far.

"You definitely want some heated days," Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said. "This was clearly the hottest day as far as it felt on the field."

Come November, the warm days will be long gone, but the Packers do have to play in a few warm-weather climates: this weekend in Tennessee, and October 12 in Miami.

"I think it's good for us," McCarthy continued. "Tennessee Saturday I think will be a good challenge. Those are good for you, especially when you go to Miami and have some games like that out there.

The Packers kick off preseason play Saturday against the Titans. The game begins at 7:00 p.m., and can only be seen on Newsline 9.
