A man has died after drowning in Vilas County, according to Vilas County Sheriff's Department officials.
According to Vilas County Sheriff Joseph Fath, crews responded to Catfish Lake around 10:40 a.m. Saturday after a report of a male not breathing after he was recovered from the water.
Officials say they believe the man fell overboard while his boat was being towed by another boat. They say he was not wearing a life jacket.
Officials say CPR was administered on the scene.
They say the man was transported to the hospital where he later died.
The man's name has not yet been released, but officials told Newsline 9 he recently moved to the area.
The incident is still under investigation.
