A pilot from Michigan crashed while landing at the Boulder Junction Airport on Sunday morning, according to Vilas County Sheriff's officials.
They say the pilot was arriving for the Musky Day Fly In event when he crashed into the tree line along the edge of the airfield.
Officials say the pilot received facial and leg injuries and was transported to Howard Young Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities say the pilot was the only passenger in the fixed-wing, single engine plane.
Sheriff's officials say the event continued after the crash.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The Federal Aviation Administration, DNR, and Vilas County Sheriff's Office are investigation the crash.
