WAUSAU (WAOW) -- An afternoon of rain in Wausau failed to wash out the Wisconsin Woodchucks playoff game against the Lakeshore Chinooks on Monday.
First pitch was set for 7:05 p.m. at Athletic Park.
The Woodchucks won seven of their last ten games to grab the last playoff spot in the South Division.
"Especially around the office, it's been kind of a buzz," said director of ballpark operations Sam Hollis. "We kind of waited till the last day to clinch but the past week or so we've been thinking about it, talking about it."
The winner of the Wisconsin-Lakeshore series takes on the winner of the Mankato-Willmar series in the North Division for the championship of the Northwoods League.
