Rothschild restaurant raises money for victims of Marathon Co. crash
ROTHSCHILD (WAOW) -
Leaders at a Rothschild restaurant say they raised hundreds of dollars for victims of a deadly crash in Marathon County in August.
Papillion's Pizza will give 10 percent of Wednesday's sales to the crash victims and their families.
Workers there tell Newsline 9 they believe they raised $500 through sales and the donation bucket.
They say they are touched by the support of the community.
"It's nice to just make something good out of something so tragic. If we can all get together to bring some smiles to some people's faces, that's all that matters." said Andrea Reede, a Papillion's Pizza employee.
Investigators say 10 young people were in the SUV when it crashed on Highway 52 August 8.
Deserae Landowski, 12, of Wausau and Reighlee Stevenson, 12, of Oshkosh were killed in the crash.
