Plover expo helps water companies keep water clean
PLOVER (WAOW) -- The people in charge of keeping central Wisconsin drinking water safe and fresh are making sure it stays that way.
More than 600 people who oversee community water supplies were in Plover to keep themselves up to date on the industry.
The Wisconsin Rural Water Association says the training and demonstrations will help companies provide the highest quality water.
"We are so highly regulated," said David Lawrence, the association's executive director. "Everything that goes into that drop of water that comes out is regulated and these people are the ones that make sure that it's safe and in plentiful supply for people to use."
Organizers say the expo also better prepares utility companies for dealing with emergency water situations.
