CENTRAL WISCONSIN (WAOW) – Power is slowly being restored to customers in central Wisconsin after storms rolled through overnight.
As of 12:30 p.m., more than 300 customers were in the dark in Stevens Point. Another 370 customers are without power in Kiel.
Wood County officials say downed trees and power lines caused the outages there. They say utility companies have been contacted and are working to restore power. Authorities are asking customers to be patient and say the repairs may take several hours.
