UPDATE: Driver dies in Clark Co. crash

CLARK COUNTY (WAOW) – A 38-year-old Stanley man died in a crash Saturday evening after trying to pass two ATVs parked in a field, according to the Clark County Sheriff's Department.

Officials say Jessie Fitzl tried to pass the ATVs around 7:50 p.m. Saturday on Copenhaver Avenue in the town of Worden. They say he lost control and rolled over several times and was ejected.

Authorities say Fitzl was taken to Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Stanley, where he later died of his injuries.

They say he was not wearing his seatbelt and that speed appears to be a factor.
