Pit Road near State Highway 52 in the town of Hewitt

Sheriff's officials are asking people to slow down and pay attention to hazardous conditions.

Flooded roads kept law enforcement officers busy overnight in Marathon County.

A Marathon County Sheriff's deputy told Newsline 9 crews were moving from one flooded street to the next, trying to keep cars from driving through the water.

Officials said roads throughout the county were flooded.

They said too much rain fell too fast. Plus, they said, broken branches and leaves clogged the drains.

They say some cars tried to drive through the flooding but ended up being towed out of the water.

No injuries were reported.
