Packers with playoff implications in just week 3

It's only week 3 but playoff implications have already begun for the Green Bay Packers, with their first of three straight Division match ups beginning this Sunday.

The team says that straight 1-1 records throughout the NFC North doesn't mean anything to them right now. They're aware of the back to back to back Division match ups, but Coach McCarthy says it's too early to be looking at anyone but themselves. "We play well in Division games, we spend a little extra time on it in the off season, but this is week 3. We need to improve from last week, that's really our focus."

Jordy Nelson says, "Obviously our goal is to get in the playoffs and win the Division so that starts with Division games and we have a nice stretch of them here."

Aaron Rodgers says they try not to value one game over another, but it's hard not to notice that three straight NFC North games could have major implications on their post season. "Winning Division games is the easiest way to win your Division which guarantees you home playoff games, so these are really important. Two of the three on the road and then the third one is a short week so, it doesn't look easy, but that's how we like it."

The Packers start this Sunday in Detroit, then Chicago and end the Division lineup at home hosting the Vikings.
