Hundreds of fossils displayed at local library

WAUSAU (WAOW) -- Dozens of people of all ages lined up Saturday for Colossal Fossils at the Marathon County Public Library in Wausau.

Colossal Fossils is a traveling fossil museum. The exhibit features everything from small snail fossils to large woolly mammoth tusks.

Visitors had the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of Wisconsin's ancient critters.

"It was a big show and tell," said David Daniels, the president of Colossal Fossils. "I have about 200 fossils that I passed around today."

The science museum travels throughout Wisconsin to teach about ancient artifacts.
