Packers tied with Saints at halftime

The Packers are tied 16-16 with the Saints at halftime of the primetime matchup.

Green Bay scored first when Aaron Rodgers hit Randall Cobb for a 70-yard touchdown on the first drive of the game. But New Orleans responded with a seven play, 80-yard drive that ended with a Brandin Cooks 4-yard rushing touchdown. The two teams then exchanged field goals to end the first quarter tied 10-10.

In the second quarter, each team made two more field goals to end the half tied at 16. Mason Crosby connected on kicks from 31, 49, and 27 yards to pace the Green and Gold. Aaron Rodgers went into the halftime locker room with 278 passing yards, completing 13 of his 18 attempts with no interceptions.

The 5-2 Packers will square off with the Saints (2-4) at the Superdome in primetime on Sunday evening. The game will be the first meeting between the two teams since 2012, when Green Bay pulled off a one-point victory at Lambeau Field.

Aaron Rodgers and company enter the game on a four-game winning streak. Rodgers has thrown for 977 yards and 13 touchdowns during the win current win streak. The Saints offense usually can keep them in games, especially at home. But the New Orleans defense should be easily picked apart by Rodgers. New Orleans ranks 28th in the NFL in passing yards allowed per game.

The Packers have the edge in the all-time series at 16-7.
