WAUSAU (WAOW) -- Hundreds of people dressed up and hit the streets Saturday for the fifth annual Amazing Turkey Trot.
The day kicked off at Chatterbox Bar in Wausau at noon.
The event was organized by Chatterbox Charities.
Charity workers say, the Turkey Trot is similar to the Amazing Race.
Racers were given a list of 'events' they had to complete within 4 hours.
These events included skateboarding, bowling and styling their partners hair.
"It's great. We're raising money for good causes. And it all comes here and it all goes back. It's fantastic," said Dan Maas of Chatterbox Charities.
Charity volunteers say they expect to raise more than $10,000.
The money goes to support the local YMCA, Wisconsin Valley Library Service, The Neighbors' Place, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Special Olympics Wisconsin.
