Several law enforcement agencies in Marathon County are teaming up to keep the roads safer.
High Visibility Enforcement is a campaign to crack down on traffic violations with an emphasis on intoxicated drivers.
This week, officers will be patrolling areas outside of their jurisdictions to add extra eyes on the roads.
"We just want to make the roadways safer, or safer to drive on in Marathon County and we want to help make it so there isn't a tragic loss to someone's life or family member," said Captain Kevin Ostrowski with the Rothschild Police Department.
In Wisconsin, state officials say deaths from alcohol related crashes have dropped 47 percent in the past decade.
