Aaron Rodgers talks about "lucky beard"

GREEN BAY (WAOW) – Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is telling his side of the story after cameras caught him tugging on a Marathon County man's beard on the sidelines of Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.

The beard belongs to Jeremy Wilcox, who helps run gameday communications for the team.

"I've actually been pulling on his beard for a while now. Any time we are on that side. I don't know when it happened -- if it was the first time, the Jets game, or what not, but I just noticed this huge dude with a sweet ginger beard near the heater," Rodgers said on his weekly radio show for ESPN Milwaukee.

"I just tugged on his beard one time and we had a laugh. I've done it, I don't think it's been every game, but it's once maybe every other game if I see him, or whatever I will just go over and tug on his beard and the cameras caught it and he's gotten a lot of attention, which is great," the QB said.

Wilcox has gotten a lot of attention because of his ginger mane. A company has even created “Fear the Beard” shirts.

Let's just hope the luck of the beard continues into the postseason.
