There may be snow on the ground outside of SentryWorld in Stevens Point, but inside, golfers were nice and warm as they hit golf balls.
"It means a lot for golfers like us, passionate golfers, even people who just people who want to hit balls every now and then instead of hitting foam golf balls around the house," said Steven Maes from Stevens Point.
At SentryWorld they've got teaching pros on hand all year long.
"It's great to get a jump on the season, this is the only place for many miles where you can practice indoors," said Brian Dumler, a teaching pro at SentryWorld.
He said the facility can be a great environment for beginners.
"When you're learning to focus on your technique and your fundamentals and you don't want to get caught up in where the ball is traveling to so when you're indoors you don't have to worry about that as much," said Dumler.
With an indoor driving range, golfers don't have to worry about getting rusty during the colder months.
"A lot of people have golf trips or they're going south for the winter so this is a great way to loosen up a little and work out the kinks before their trip," said Dumler.
Some say it's just not the same as golfing outside.
"The club kind of bounces more off the mat, but it's still better than nothing right," said Maes.
All of SentryWorld's facilities are open to the public.
