Lambeau field gears up for cold game-day

The Packers are gearing up for their first playoff game of the season.

As the players work on the field, inside Lambeau everyone is getting ready for the fans.

"We have great excitement, that's the first thing that's going to keep them warm," said Lisa Treichel, the assistant manager in the Lambeau Field.

If cheering isn't enough to battle the cold, The Pro Shop is stocked with ways to bundle up in green and gold.

"The second thing is we have our new divisional winter hat, we also have a couple new winter hats and scarves," said Treichel.

The Packers paraphernalia doesn't stop there.

"We have Lambeau Field seat cushion that people can actually use to stand on. They're only $6 a cushion but it really helps your feet stay warm," said Treichel.

Lambeau Field is also grilling up some new menu items that could help fans stay warm.

They're taking it to the next level with a burger that's been making headlines across the country.

The 3.5 pound Big Game Burger burger is made with venison, ground bacon, and certified Angus beef.

"It was a big playoff game, we thought we'd give something to the fans, it's cold out, big hearty burger to sit in the seats," said Heath Barbato, the executive chef of Lambeau Field.

The burger is about 2,500 calories.

Sunday's icy forecast, along with the Dallas Cowboys match-up has a lot of people remembering the 1967 Ice Bowl.

To get the fans all ready for the big game, Lambeau will be hosting a pep rally with giveaways, and a few special guests.

"We've got Mark Murphy, he's going to show up, also we've got five members from the 1967 Ice Bowl team here," said Kandi Goltz, the Manager of Game and Fan Development.

The pep rally is free and open to the public. It starts at 6 p.m.
