Twenty-eight National Guard soldiers were welcomed back to Wisconsin at a ceremony in Madison Thursday.

One family from Edgar is happy to be back together once again.
"I told them that I would cook tonight. I'm tired of eating on the road and I'm going to cook tonight and we're going to make something homemade," said Lt. Colonel Randall Myszka.
"We just want to thank everyone for their prayers, for their texts, for their emails, the phone calls, the cards, it just meant a lot," said Myszka's wife, Patty.
The soldiers arrived on U.S. soil, landing at Fort Hood, on January 13.
